1. Overview
SlowDay Store Rescue ("Store Rescue," "we," "us," or "our") is a Shopify app that helps merchants understand sales slowdowns, best-selling product and inventory risk, and storefront conversion-funnel progression. This Privacy Policy explains the information we process when merchants install or use the app and when visitors use this website.
2. Information we process
Depending on the features being used, Store Rescue may process the following categories of information:
- Shop and merchant information: shop domain, store name, time zone, app installation and authentication/session information, and other store-level settings needed to operate the app.
- Order and sales information: paid-order records and sales totals needed to calculate current performance, historical comparison periods, average order value, product performance, and other dashboard metrics.
- Product and inventory information: product identifiers, titles, product sales activity, inventory quantities, and related information needed for Best-Seller Rescue and inventory-risk analysis.
- Storefront funnel events: event type, event identifier, event timestamp, page path, shop domain, and a one-way hashed visitor key used to group events in the same shopper journey. Store Rescue does not persist the raw Shopify client identifier in its FunnelEvent records.
- Technical and security information: application logs, request metadata, error information, and other technical data used for reliability, fraud prevention, debugging, and security.
- Support information: information you choose to send when contacting support, such as your email address, store domain, screenshots, and problem description.
3. How information is used
We use information to authenticate merchants, operate the Store Rescue dashboard, calculate sales and product comparisons, provide inventory and conversion insights, generate recommended actions, maintain the service, troubleshoot issues, protect the service from abuse, comply with legal obligations, and respond to support requests.
4. Customer and shopper data
Store Rescue is designed to analyze store-level and funnel behavior without displaying individual shopper identities in the merchant dashboard. Funnel progression uses a one-way hashed visitor key to associate storefront events from the same shopper journey. Store Rescue does not store payment card numbers or customer account passwords.
5. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell merchant or shopper personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that are necessary to host, secure, monitor, or support Store Rescue, including Shopify and cloud hosting/database providers. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services or as otherwise permitted by law.
6. Data retention and deletion
Storefront funnel-event records, including the one-way hashed visitor key used for conversion analysis, are automatically deleted after 30 days. App session records are retained only while needed to operate Store Rescue and are deleted when required by applicable Shopify privacy and compliance requests. Shopify privacy and compliance requests are handled through the app's required compliance webhooks. When Shopify sends a shop-redaction request, Store Rescue deletes the shop's stored funnel-event and app-session records covered by that request, subject to any information we are required to retain by law.
7. Website data
The SlowDay Store Rescue marketing website does not currently use advertising pixels or third-party behavioral advertising. Our hosting provider may process standard web-server information such as IP address, browser/user-agent information, timestamps, and requested pages for security, performance, and operational purposes.
8. Security
We use HTTPS, Shopify authentication, access controls, database protections, and other reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and privacy requests
Merchants can uninstall Store Rescue through Shopify Admin and can contact us with privacy questions or requests. Shopify also provides processes for customer privacy requests that are forwarded to installed apps when applicable.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Store Rescue changes. The "Last updated" date above will be revised when material changes are published.
